There’s no doubt James Franco is a dedicated actor.  He’s played everything from TV sitcom roles to comedy roles like Saul in Pineapple Express, Scott Smith in Oscar-winning Milk and now he’s decided to take on soap opera acting. He’s been starring in General Hospital lately, which seems a bit like going backwards. Franco said he heard soap acting was the toughest gig to handle, and he decided he better give it a shot. He’s also in two graduate programs in New York: Columbia for Fiction Writing and NYU for Film.
